Cancellation and Refunds
Updated September 2026
What this covers
We sell professional services, not goods. There is nothing to return and nothing to ship. This policy explains what happens to money already paid if an engagement is cancelled — by you or by us — before it finishes.
How engagements are billed
Engagements are broken into milestones in the written proposal. An advance may be payable before work starts; the remaining milestones are invoiced as they are completed and accepted. This structure is what makes a fair refund possible — at any point, it is clear what has been delivered and what has not.
If you cancel
Before any work has started, the advance is refunded in full, less any third-party costs already committed on your instruction (cloud accounts, licences, paid APIs). Those costs are itemised, not estimated.
Once work is underway, the milestone in progress is charged pro-rata for the work completed to the date we receive your written notice, and the balance of the advance is refunded. Milestones already completed and accepted are not refundable, because the deliverable is already yours.
If we cancel
If we withdraw from an engagement for any reason other than non-payment, you are charged only for milestones completed and accepted, everything else is refunded in full, and we hand over the work in progress at no charge.
Duplicate and failed payments
A payment taken twice, or taken for an invoice already settled, is refunded in full — no pro-rata, no deductions. Tell us and we will process it without waiting for the engagement to reach a milestone.
How to request a refund
Write to admin@nineteenservices.in from the email address on the invoice, quoting the invoice number. We acknowledge every request within two business days.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through the same payment aggregator that took the payment, normally within seven to ten business days of approval. How quickly it then appears on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer, not us. We do not refund to a different account than the one that paid.
Disagreements
If you think a deduction is wrong, say so in writing and we will show you the working — hours, third-party costs, and what was delivered. We would rather resolve it directly than have you dispute it with your bank. These terms sit alongside our Terms of Engagement.
